"What happens when alkali metals come into contact with water?"
Good question. This video answers that question. And trust me the answer isn't pretty. Watch as several akaline metals, each with a different reactive potential, mix with water, inside of a bathtub. As one scientist says, "It's like a grenade in a bath tub".
