CURRICULUM FOR SHORT STORY: Harald is growing to be an adventurous boy, who, like most boys, likes to climb and listen to stories. In this story, King Halfdan gives his son Harald a thrall named Olaf as a gift when he cuts his first tooth. Olaf is always with the boy and tells him stories of warriors and gods while standing on a cliff overlooking a fiord.
