CURRICULUM FOR CHAPTER BOOK: As Frodo continues on his quest, the Fellowship has now broken. The story begins with Boromir's death and Merry and Pippin's capture. Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli hunt down the Uruk-hai who has captured their hobbit friends. They chase the Uruks into the land of Rohan where the broken Fellowship encounters the Rohirrim, Ents, and the surprising appearance of an old friend. Frodo and Sam are on their own journey into Mordor. They meet Gollum and he becomes their guide into the horrible lands of the Enemy. Though separated, the divided members of the Fellowship are all fighting for one thing; the freedom of Middle-earth!
