CURRICULUM FOR SHORT STORY: Imagine being in a field of flax, bathing in the sun, gently swaying in the breeze. Then you are cut down and tortured until you are something else. This story illustrates that things never really end, they change and keep going on and on. This is a story about rebirth. The flax is happy in the field and then goes through a painful process of being made into linen, but that wasn't the end. The linen is recycled a few more times until it burns in a fire and gets to soar yet higher.
